Our Ethos

We aim to help our children grow through play and adventure within our setting, helping to embrace them as individuals to explore the world through play and education in readiness for their next steps towards transition to school.

Twiglets

Twiglets is our designated room for our youngest children aged 0-2 years, encouraging learning and growth through play, and sensory experiences.

Blossoms

Blossoms is our preschool room for children 2-5 years, designed to help embrace learning through play, in readiness towards their next steps in transition to Primary Education.

The Learning Tree Childcare

'Our Children are the seeds we plant, then watch them grow and bloom into beautiful individual trees. Like all seeds, our children grow and develop at different rates, we strive to help them all bloom in their own unique way and time'

Characteristics of Early Learning (COEL)

At the Learning Tree we strive to find out 'HOW' our children learn. 

Within our Twiglets room we use the 3 areas:

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Within 'Blossoms' with the preschool children we follow the EYFS, and find out 'WHAT' our children learn 


At the start of your childs journey we focus upon the 3 Prime Areas:
'Communication and Language'
'Personal, Social and Emotional Development'
'Physical Development'


As children grow, develop and learn we extend our focus to Specific Areas:
'Literacy'
'Understanding the World'
'Mathematical Development'
'Expressive Arts and Design'
